BSE (breast self-examination) is an early detection or prevention of breast cancer

that is by doing BSE, it should be done once a month. BSE (breast self -examination) for early

detection of breast cancer at the age of 35-40 years by doing mammography.

factors related to the knowledge of women of childbearing age (WUS) about breast

self-examination (BSE) in Kampung Karundang Collector of Cipocok Jaya District of Serang in

2018.

This research uses analytic survey method with cross sectional research using

primary data. The sampling technique uses accidental sampling. With a total sample of 161 women

of childbearing age.

The results of bivariate research found that there was a relationship between family

support and knowledge of women of childbearing age about breast self-examination with p (value)

= 0.044 <α = 0.05, there was no relationship between age and knowledge of women of childbearing

age about breast self-examination with p (value) ) = 0.076>α = 0.05, there is no relationship

between education with knowledge of women of childbearing age about breast self-examination

with p (value) = 0.240>α = 0.05, there is no relationship between work with knowledge of women

of childbearing age about examinations own breast with p (value) = 0.780>α = 0.05

It is expected that health workers can provide counseling and counseling about breast

self-examination especially in women of childbearing age, so they can understand about breast

self-examination.
